NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Sierra County Board of Commissioners will hold a meeting on March 20, 2018, at 9:00 a.m., for the purpose of conducting a public hearing on the Sierra County Open Burn Ban Ordinance, the purpose of which is to limit the burning of certain of materials, require a permit for certain types of opening burning, prohibiting the burning of materials that are deemed hazardous to burn, and to provide penalties for violations of the Ordinance.

The Ordinance will be considered by the Board of County Commissioners for Final Passage at a regular meeting to follow the public hearing, on March 20, 2018, at 10:00 AM.

Both meetings will be held at the Sierra County Commission Chamber, 855 Van Patten, Truth or Consequences, NM 87901.

Complete copies of the of proposed Sierra County Open Burn Ban Ordinance are available for public inspection at the Office of the County Clerks, at 100 N. Date Street.

Hard copies of the proposed Ordinance may be purchased by the public from either office for .50 cents a page.
