NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that by Order of the District Court in Cause No. D-721-CV-2024- 00087, persons interested in serving as one of the five (5) initial directors of the Sierra County Arroyo Flood Control District, established by the voters at the 2024 General Election, may submit their names for appointment by the District Court.

Interested persons are required to submit 1) a petition (download a blank petition form below) nominating the interested person signed by not less five qualified electors; 2) a letter of interest and 3) résumé.

Nomination packets must be received by the County of Sierra no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, January 10, 2025, at the County Manager’s Office: County of Sierra, 1712 N. Date Street, Truth or Consequences, NM 87901.

The District Court will appoint five (5) initial directors who shall serve until the next local election, as which election their successors shall be chosen.
